Profile Yannick SUZNJEV / Artistique DesignerYannick Suznjev studied for four years at the famous French flower school*TECOMH well known for the top florists it has produced. After graduating he worked as a florist in Versailles, Paris perfecting a foundation in artistic sense and comprehensive techniques. in all styles ranging from classic to modern that have given him the freedom of expression that he currently enjoys. He made full use of his wide experience when in 1999 he was employed by Christian Tortu and was responsible for handling arrangements for among others, popular French singer Johnny Hallyday, actor Daniel Auteuil, actress Catherine Deneuve and Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. At this time he also handled many Paris collections and events for brand-name companies such as Celine as well as contributing to the floral arrangements for the Cannes Film Festival. Through gaining the utmost respect and trust both from Tortu and the staff for his work and by also becoming the most popular and requested florist among the clientele he became the undisputed stop florist in the shop at this time. |
In 2003 he took on the post of artistic instructor in the Tortu shop in Korea. At the Seoul shop he handled successive flower arrangement projects for Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Volvo and a number of famous high-class hotels. While working in Korea at this time the special floral arrangements that he produced for the weddings of a number of famous Korean actresses received considerable attention. His flower arrangement lessons during this period proved both fascinating and extremely popular with Korean women. He remains to this day to be the only instructor in history to receive a special commendation and a presentation of crystal in appreciation of his work by the VIPs of the Baccarat Company who were so moved by the beauty of his arrangements which they felt displayed a refinement and elegance balanced with masculine strength. He continued to work in both in England and Paris and in the autumn of 2006 held a demonstration show in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo which proved to be a great success. In September 2007 he was able to fulfill his long-cherished dream of opening a flower shop in the St. Germain district near to Luxembourg Park, a fashionable area that attracts people from all over the world and well known for being one of the most chic and refined districts of Paris. The fact that he could succeed in such a venture while still only in his twenties bears testimony to his abilities. Building on the experience and artistic sense he gained from pioneering work in the leading contemporary modal arrangement styles he graduated from the famous TECOMH flower school in the practical B.P. examination with the highest score in the country. This is one of the highest possible qualifications in France and he is now bringing his valuable skill, knowledge and experience to his flower arrangement lessons. Yannick’s charm, mild turn of phrase and his gentle demeanour resulting from his deep love of nature are quickly bringing him much attention from his Japanese female fans. Of all the Parisian florists, he has been creating the most interest in the Japanese flower world and appeared at the biggest flower event in Asia, the IFEX Flower Arrangement Show in the autumn of 2007. He has now firmly established his name as the most important member of the long-awaited new generation of Parisian florists. |
